Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of dogs do you train?

We work with all breeds and sizes, and we also accept dogs that have been spayed, neutered or are still intact.

How long does obedience take?

All dogs are different, we can give you an estimate, but we cannot guarantee an exact time. We do not charge extra if the dog needs more time.

What kind of training collars do you use?

We use choke chains, prong collars and e-collars. We prefer to use the right tools based on the individual needs of each dog. The prong collar and e-collar looks like harmful tools but they are not.

The prong collar provides an uncomfortable sensation just like a mother picking up her puppy.

The e-collar does not do any actual physical damage to the dog regardless of level. It helps the trainer in getting your dogs attention in time of need: of leash training, dog aggression, people aggression and other behavior problems.

For the commands, what language do you offer?

We offer, English, Spanish, German and French.

Do you use treats to train?

Yes, for the right dogs in combination with the training collars.

Can i visit my dog during a board and train?

We prefer not, it can set us back in the training and with the constant visits, training would be interrupted. How ever FD K-9 at drop of will see if the dog can recieve visits from the owner and it will be a short visit once a week with an appointment.

What I need to bring for boarding and training?

Enough food to last their stay, medication and vaccination records by the vet. We will provide everything they need for training.

What do I have to buy after training?

Training collar (s) and doggie bed if not included in the package.
